A scramble away from the consistency of work – a brief opportunity to lure the children away from the screens and mindless fodder that is literally WATCHING OTHER PEOPLE PLAY VIDEO GAMES???

I digress.

Monocacy Hill provided the opportunity to take the boys and Ms. Jillian on her first official hike.  Albeit, I made the horrible selection of the front-loaded chest carrier as opposed to our trail-rated and preferred ‘backpack’ method of carrying young ones on these little treks.

The air was brisk, but the sky opened up long enough to show the sun and warm our backs as we walked against the raging wind that is at the top of the hill.  A very nice hiker allowed us to take an additional image as a group.  Even at the end of Fall, Monocacy Hill provided a useful respite from reality.
